BUDRUS IN BUDRUS – Just Vision’s team just returned from screening the film in the village of Budrus, where close to 700 residents (nearly half the entire village population) attended and cheered throughout the movie. Leaders from nearby Palestinian villages that have been inspired by Budrus to adopt nonviolence were present and invited Just Vision to screen the film to their communities. Several Israeli protagonists also joined. One young man from a neighboring village stated that “now more women will see how important their role is (in nonviolent struggle).” This summer, Just Vision will launch an extensive outreach campaign throughout the West Bank, by invitation of local leaders.

Najeeba Syeed-Miller Named to New Faculty Position in Interreligious Education – Claremont School of Theology
![]()
Najeeba Syeed-Miller is close to AFR. Readers will recall that we published two of her speeches to a Beverly Hills Muslim secondary school and to law school students at USC. Now as the first, full time Muslim faculty member of the Claremont School of Theology, she becomes a pioneer in the school’s endeavor to broaden the agenda of seminary education to embrace the family of Abraham and all other members of the human family. This is an exciting development.
