Last week, Joseph Montville made the keynote address at the 32nd annual meeting of the International Society of Political Psychology at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. On May 22, 2009 the Alaska World Affairs Council hosted an event with Joseph Montville, Director of Toward the Abrahamic Family Reunion. The following video is of the talk Montville gave that day, titled “Preventive Diplomacy: Advancing the Abrahamic Family Reunion.”

The apology to the Stolen Generations by the Australian Parliament on 13 February 2008 was a powerful and memorable moment in the nation’s history. Saying sorry cleared the air, inspiring Australians to believe we really can build the kind of respectful relationships needed for positive, long term outcomes.

Reconciliation Australia engaged Indigenous Film Services to document the event beginning two days before the Prime Minister’s historic speech, as people began to gather in Canberra.
