Muslims and Jews in America and Israel: Some Good and Not So Good News

Our first item reports on an important gesture by ten American Muslim leaders on behalf of the families of two Israeli army soldiers killed in the 2014 Gaza war.

The next piece covers the ongoing political drama in Israel between the current minister of culture and Muslim and Christian citizens of Israel, in this case film makers and the memory of a revered, dead Palestinian poet, who seek acknowledgment of their historical losses.

We especially recommend that readers click the link–“our narrative”–in paragraph nine for an ideal description of a scientific and psychologically sensitive reconciliation strategy for Israelis and Palestinians.

The last two essays address the challenge of intellectual shallowness in the attitudes of some Jews toward Islam. This important case focuses on the new president-designate of Yeshiva University in New York City.
